What a day!  Amstrong Express didn't get going until maybe 9:40, but it was worth the wait.  The patrol sign on top of lift 2 said 14" new, and I believe it.  It was easily deeper in places.  Light, fluffy, and forgiving.   Not too crowded either.  Untouched lines everywhere even without opening the backcountry.  Lower International for example was sweet, no avy debris ice.  Occasionally, a trailing knee would interact with an old mogul, but nothing bad.  I had to leave around 1 and wish I could have stayed.  The snow was so good that lift 2 didn't fry my legs anywhere nearly as much as it usually does.  Cold=good.

becky and I left seattle at 6am, our original plan was to check out Mission Ridge with one of our shell 2-1 coupons, but after the insane drive through way too much snow on I-90 and darn near blizzard conditions, we decided that snoqualmie was gonna be as good as anywhere and spent the day chasing the most easily accessible powder.

Skinned two laps at hyak then headed over to Alpy...only had to do one lap on Armstrong before Edelweiss started running. After a couple laps on 'nash we headed over to shot 6 and found it virtually untracked...skiing down shot 6 was just one continuous face shot.

After lunch we wanted to get into the bc cause Alpental was getting kinda tracked up, but once skinning up the valley we ran into enough traffic that we realized elevator gate must've just opened, so it was back to the chairlift for laps off of elevator gate until 3:30. We were still finding face shot deep powder in brownie bowl and trash can even at the end of the day.

Fantastic day up there...too bad its gonna be raining up there soon.

I know the skiing was great, you know the skiing was great...how about NOT telling the whole skiing population.  lift lines are cool and all...but not that cool.
I think WE all would be better off by doing postings of anonymous places with non-descriptive photos...
