Couple of beers gave us the proper slerve to enjoy the schmoo at West last night. Just fun to be out in the sun and skiing in T-shirts after work.
Some Great May Day fun... much better use of energy than the downtown mayhem in Seattle. Any slide activity in the Grouse Creek drainage from last weekend's snow? Looks like great con...
From above and what I could see, the Cascadian was snow all the way down. Couldn't see down Ulrich's from that vantage point.

Thanks a bunch!! I was confused about the map as well. I think it is less critical when there is snow all the way to the road!!
So did you make it up Silver Star?? Is it worth the bush below?? I would like to get out there this weekend if the trip is worth the $$$ for gasoline!!Thanks!!
2.5hrs to the Slot (including some binding fumbling time-sorry Einar). Snowed about 2-4in from 7:30-9:30. Sun was in and out on the way up. Slot was choice Spring Powder... 6 tracks...
A couple of us started about 10am and followed the bomber skin track to the summit. Saw the tracks dropping into the upper Crooked and it all looked great!! We headed back down to the Slot...
