Ah, the Winds! Where I first learned to backcountry ski (and make a tele turn) on a winter NOLS course many years ago. Good memories. Thanks for posting.

Put in a skin track at Summit East and did 2 laps this morning before heading to work. Damn good snow for March 30! How was Alpental? Must have been good!
So is the road gated at the El Dorado trailhead?
I was part of a group of 3 skiers and we came out around 4:30 PM yesterday and didn't see the skins. But, maybe you were in that group of 4 that came out after us. Hope you get 'em back!

Those damn people feeding the fox! Last winter I was camped by Reflection Lakes and was harassed all night long by a fox that had no fear of humans. The fox would stand about 5 feet away just staring...
