Congrats on 70 TAY! I hit 70 the same time and much different experience. All about the aspect. Paradise Gl. mostly corn and fun, and all alone.
Upper Paradise looked and felt Yuck! Lower skied well with nice corn. Sept. 10 conditions.

Went up Muir Snowfield. Didn't bother pulling the skins out as the bootback was easier- traversed under Anvil was final destination point.
I agree, very few skiers out today. Saw a few on Muir Snowfield. Went down Paradise Glacier around 1pm and had the place to ourselves. Still plenty of continuous turns, but some cracks have opened...
