My guess is you're gonna be booting quite a bit, but I'd still bring my gear if I were you. Can't tell you how many times I've been hiking only to regret not having my gear.

We made it thanks to a 3-foot wide ribbon of snow a few hundred yards in ;D It's probably gone by now. About 500 feet up, coverage is still good though.
